Dr Gift Thabo Dingiswayo, born in the Westrand outside of Johannesburg, completed his undergraduate medical degree (MBChB) at Nelson R Mandela School of medicine University of Kwa-Zulu Natal 2009. His love for obstetrics and gynaecology developed during his internship.
Dr Dingiswayo begun his postgraduate specialization in obstetrics and gynaecology January 2014 at University of Witswatersrand, Charlotte Maxeke Johannesburg academic hospital. He holds a masters of medicine degree (O&G) from Wits University and his research report is about women with recurrent miscarriages.
He moved to Cape Town August 2016 and completed his training at University of Cape Town, Groote Schuur hospital. Dr Dingiswayo obtained his fellowship in obstetrics and gynaecology from the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa (CMSA) October 2017.
He advocates for natural birth in the absence of contraindications. He believes in empowering women and respecting their reproductive rights. Dr Dingiswayo provides a service that is professional, confidential and non-judgemental. Some of his special interests include but are not limited to reproductive medicine and infertility, minimal invasive gynaecological surgery and endometriosis.
Dr Dingiswayo is passionate about family and is blessed with a beautiful daughter Leano. He is a foodie, fashionista and an outdoor enthusiast.
